The Journey Continues
While my first novel – Etched in Gold – is trying to grow wings and see the light of day, I have started working on my second novel set in 1690 Cuddalore, South India, when Governor Yale ( of Yale University fame) was hanging around Madras trading in cotton textiles and stealing temple artefacts, for which he got mildly reprimanded, but allowed to thrive back home in England.
Later, perhaps to clear his conscience he donated some money to an American university and got his name immortalised.
I had to share this cartoon by Grant Snider which summarises my life.
